So, ever seeking a new adventure, John popped around to the brewery near Kingsbridge on a fact-finding mission. That same afternoon, without knowing a thing about brewing, he decided to buy the business in a bid to save Shingle Bay and to turn the business around. And so, the Salcombe Brewery story began.
